Weather related flight question.

For all those that travel frequently I have a question.

We have a storm coming into Cincinnati. Gets here early Monday morning. My flight leaves at 7am to Tampa.

They “say” 1-3” by Monday morning.

I imagine that’s not a huge deal, but not sure. What’s it take to delay a flight and or cancel one?

I imagine going into Tampa is good being it’s warm.

I’m debating on buying a new ticket and heading out Sunday. But have some things here in Cincy I’d have to rearrange to make that happen and would rather not.

My flights got cancelled today.. Portland is a mess with snow and ice..no flights getting in there today.. 6" there. Ice is a bigger issue with cancellations

I changed my ticket to tomorrow just to be safe. Getting the hell out of here. Saying we could get 12-15". Ill go visit 5 team and play some 1/2 NL

One day, the forecasts said my scheduled morning flight should have no problem. We still decided to leave the night before.

JFK was closed the next day. We would have been delayed at least 24 hours, probably closer to 48

Nasty here in Dallas. Most flights cancelled.. Mine is still a go at the moment. Long day. Destination going back is looking like shit also..

I don't like to fly ...... Did it once ( been on a helicopter too ) , wasn't a big fan of it . I'd rather keep my ass on the ground that's why I prefer cars / trains / buses & if I gotta or wanna go to another country I'm looking for a boat
